3 ply yarn
Size 6 needles
CO 68 stitches
K2, P2 to end of row. Continue until piece measures
6 inches.
K2 tog, P2 tog across the row. You now have
34 stitches. Purl back across the row.
Kt 2 tog across the row. You now have 17 stitches.
Purl back across the row.
K 2 tog across the the row. You now have 9 stitches.
Purl back across the row.
Thread yarn into the needle, put 9 stitches on needle,
draw up snug and sew down the side seam.
Note from Fran: I enjoy this pattern--it's easy,
and comes out lovely, even without a pompom. (You can add one if you like.)
